This is where you can download my tutorials,
that help you with game making in Multimedia Fusion and The
Games Factory. There are different types of tutorials,
and if you would like to see me make a tutorial on something
that you are having trouble with, just ask. Tutorials
are for MMF, unless otherwise stated. |

Mario Platform Engine 22nd
March 2004
This is a game engine for a platformer
of similar style to mario, that I worked on for quite a
while. It has a lot of the stuff from the original mario,
including stomping enemies' heads, coin boxes, moving
platforms, sloping pipes, and ripped mario graphics. TGF
compatible. |

RPG Character Creator 14th
April 2004
This is an early tutorial of mine,
that shows you how to make an RPG system where you can make
your own character, out of body parts you can change. The
parts you can change are the hair colour, the skin colour,
the trousers, the top, and the shoes. It can save it, and it
can then show you a small speech example, where your created
character talks to you, depending on what it looks like.

Phizzy's Tutor Pack 30th April
2004
This is a TGF-compatible tutorial pack that
I made when some people kept having trouble on the daily
click. I decided to help them out by making this tutor pack.
It contains tutorials on how to: Make destructable
terrain. Make semitransparent object trails, or
blurs. Make keyboard and mouse-controlled menus. Make
a simple paint program. Make a small top-down shooter,
where enemies have to be hit more than once. Make a
custom platform engine. Make a level editor and viewer
for a platformer.
You will need the extensions in the
second download to open this in TGF. |

RPG Engine 27th May
2004
This is a tutorial which shows you how to
make a complete RPG Engine. In it, there is: Custom
character creation, as in the above tutorial. A custom
naming system, where you control a cursor and select letters
to make up your name. A small part which shows speech,
with multiple, customizable paragraphs. A world map
screen, where you can make your character walk around the
world. A Final Fantasy-style battle engine, where you
fight monsters and defend yourself. A levelling up
system, where you gain experience from battles and exchange
it for being trained. A boss battle, where you kill your
evil dictator.
Some of the stuff in this tutorial is
very useful to know in TGF/MMF, so it could be a good idea
to download. Note: The TGF Version may be unstable on
Windows XP computers

Advanced Scrolling 18th June
2004
This tutorial shows a good way of making
scrolling for a sidescroller/platformer. This method
makes the window scroll so that you are 1/4 way across the
screen horizontally when you move, and move the window back
to lock on to you when you aren't moving.

Character TraitMakRRR 14th July
2004
This small tutorial shows how you can make
some fields generate random data from different sections,
with a bunch of pre-entered things. In this example, there
is a small application which randomly chooses the
personality traits of a character.

Car Engines 24th November
2004
This tutorial shows two different ways of
making custom racing car engines. One way, a bouncing ball
object is rotated and speeds are set, and the other way, the
default racing car movement is used and all the car's
movement speeds, animations and directions are set
manually. This is a TGF-compatible tutorial.

Wrapping Frame Custom Platform
Movement 15th December 2005
This
tutorial shows how to make a nice platform engine with
variable jump height and pass-through platforms. Its main
purpose is to show some lovely frame wrapping code that
shows your character wrapping over the frame as you try to
leave. Check the screenshot to see what I
mean. MMF-compatible tutorial.
